Tarzan Rope

The Tarzan Rope (ターザンロープ),called the Tarzan Jump on Ninja Warrior, was the next-to-last obstacle in the First Stage for three competitions. The obstacle consisted of five ropes hanging from the scaffolding above over a mud pit. The competitor must cross all five ropes to make it to the next obstacle, the Rope Climb. The ropes were rubbery and stretched when someone hung from them. You were also allowed to bypass as many ropes as you wished; some competitors jumped past the obstacle all together to try to make it to the Rope Climb. For SASUKE 12 the number of ropes was decreased by one thus increasing the size of the gaps between each rope and forcing competitors to use all the ropes to reach the Rope Climb. When the course was redesigned for SASUKE 13, the Tarzan Rope was replaced with its predecessor, the Tarzan Jump.
