The Swing Ladder (スウィングラダー) is an obstacle introduced into the Second Stage in SASUKE 20 to replace the Skywalk. The Swing Ladder's function is very similar to a KUNOICHI obstacle, the Tsuri Hashigo, where a set of monkey bars must be crossed by the competitors. The monkey bars are set on a tilting mount on the scaffolding above, and swing substantially when competitors traverse them. Towards the end of the obstacle's life, many competitors began attempting the obstacle sideways, similar to the style used to beat the Climbing Bars. Of the 10 who attempted it, no one ever failed it. Interestingly, although it was in place for three tournaments, Li En Zhi was the only person to attempt it twice. It was replaced with the much tougher Unstable Bridge in SASUKE 23, where it eliminated three contestants.
